Makeshift Volleyball

My favorite moment during park time tonight was when I glanced over toward the baseball field (usually a place from where I try to avert my attention) and spotted a group of people playing volleyball over the fence of the baseball field. How unfair. Baseball players get 3 maybe even 5 fields per park and volleyball gets nothing. Tennis usually gets 4 courts and basketball at least one. Soccer always has at least one field to itself also (and really, all soccer needs is 4 large stones and some grass to really make a field.)   All volleyball gets is the leftover land in the corner to put up a net, if you have the means to purchase and then bring one. How sad. It is time volleyball got the proper respect it deserves. If people are willing to be creative enough to use a fence instead of a net in order to play their sport, they deserve a net. Who wants to watch grown men in onesies standing on the field waiting for a ball to come to them when you can watch 4 hotties at the beach battle it out in their formerly geeky, currently studly bods. If we build it, they will come.
