some of this in the evening...
and choosing to go to this place for a "Night at the Museum"...left this on the floor since the morning...
We chose fun today.

Oh-So Saturday

I had the best Saturday a girl could have yesterday.

I listened to 2 more hours of this book, which affirms my oh-so athletic life.

I let my husband have it oh-so to himself.

I got to spend 1.5 hours in a salon having girl talk with my oh-so sweet niece.

My children got to play with their cousins, but more importantly their oh-so maternal, biker-looking uncle.

I realized that the world (or maybe just NJ) is an oh-so small place since the girl cutting my niece's hair is the older sister of one of my brother's friends from high school (girl-talk, remember?).

My kids slept. I filled my cup again. And tomorrow will be just as sweet because I get to think about today.

Valentine's Day Weekend

Running into icy cold water and running out is my kind of Valentine's Day.

Especially when I am the one taking pictures of it.

Jobs

open spot

During the week I often find myself escaping to the world of "other family's lives." I try to figure out what's going on at home, what isn't going on, and what should be going on.

For a living, I care for other children and teach other children how to do things and ways to act that I think are becoming of a human being.

Some people call it Integrated Language Arts and others call it English.

However, anything that is taught to 13 yr olds should be called Social Work.

I am not qualified for this.

But after a week of trying to convince myself I am qualified and trying to act like I am qualified, I get to come home to what I am qualified to do - snuggle.

I get to come home and take care of my own children and husband and house and for 2.5 days I am able to pretend that is my only job.

Thankfully, one tool I was equipped with in my childhood was my imagination.

So excuse me for not writing so much, but I am losing snuggle time.
